Jays Homers Pay off for Sudbury Food Bank

An incredible win by the Blue Jays in Game 3, which included three homers by the Toronto team, will pay off for the Sudbury Food Bank. As the Blue Jays head into Game 4 today against the Kansas City Royals, Huntington University is committing to donating $250, for every Blue Jays home run of the American League Championship Series, to the Sudbury Food Bank.

“Prior to the start of the ALCS we entered into a friendly wager with Kansas City’s Rockhurst University. While that initiative is proving to be quite fun in and of itself, we felt there was more our university could do to support the local community while celebrating the Jays,” said Dr. Kevin McCormick, President and Vice-Chancellor of Huntington University.

“Our thanks to Dr. McCormick and Huntington University for this wonderful opportunity to assist in striking out hunger in our community,” stated Dan Xilon, Executive Director of the Sudbury Food Bank. “May the results of this opportunity be a home run for everyone, including our Blue Jays!”
