(LtoR): Mme Korotimi Bayala Drabo, Principal Secretary Embassy of Burkina Faso in Canada, with Dr. Kevin McCormick, 2022 recipient of the Knight of the Order of the Stallion.
Dr. Kevin McCormick, the President and Vice-Chancellor of Huntington University, has been appointed to the rank of Knight of the Order of the Stallion (Chevalier de l’Ordre de l’Etalon) by The Council of National Orders, Presidency of Faso Grand Chancellery of Burkinabe Orders. The Knight of the Order of the Stallion, which is a National Order and the highest honour the government of Burkina Faso can bestow, rewards personal merit and/or eminent civil or military services rendered to the nation. The medal was presented on Friday, July 29, 2022 during a private investiture ceremony held at the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Ottawa, in recognition of his exemplary support of the nation and its people through initiatives such as his support of post-secondary students and institutions in Burkina Faso.

For his incredible service to the Nation of Burkina Faso the President is honoured, on behalf of the country, to award him with the Knight of the Order of the Stallion, our highest national honour.”
