Every person has the right to learn, and the power to achieve! Huntington University is calling on the Greater Sudbury community to come together on March 30th for a Sudbury Five game at home that aims to raise funds in support of the Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury (LDAS).  How can you help?  Tickets for the March 30th Sudbury Five home game vs. Moncton Magic, can be purchased at a discounted rate of $17, with $5 from every ticket sold being donated to LDAS. To get your Sudbury Five tickets and ensure $5 goes to LDAS, please call (705) 522-0100 to purchase your tickets.

“Huntington University is proud to sponsor the March 30th home game, with Sudbury Five hosting the Moncton Magic, in an effort to raise funds and awareness for LDAS,” said Dr. Kevin McCormick, President and Vice-Chancellor of Huntington University.  “LDAS creates empowering and highly innovative strategies to support learners, teachers and families, and plays a critical role in removing barriers to education while providing greater access to resources and supports for youth with learning disabilities. I hope we can encourage a large crowd to come out on March 30th to cheer on the Sudbury Five and LDAS; a charitable non-profit which is doing amazing things for students and education in our community.”

“Huntington University is a true champion for education, and we are thrilled they have chosen to support LDAS and local elementary and secondary school learners in this way,” said Mary-Liz Warwick, Chair of the LDAS Board of Directors.  “Since 2003, LDAS has been helping parents in navigating the educational system, and children and youth with support in understanding their particular learning disability while empowering and educating them about various strategies for success.”

“Success at home, school and in the community, as well as a life-long love of learning, is something we all shoot for,” said Logan Stutz, Sudbury Five General Manager and Head Coach.  “On March 30th, as our Kings of the Underground shoot for another win at home we hope you will join us and our game sponsor, Huntington University, in making this a slam-dunk event in support of education and youth in Greater Sudbury”.

Student ambassadors from Huntington University and LDAS will also be at the game, collecting donations of school supplies.  Please consider making a donation of items on game day, and purchasing your tickets directly through LDAS by calling (705) 522-0100.  For every $17 ticket sold, $5 will be donated back to LDAS in support of programs and services.
