“It is with immense gratitude that I stand before you today as a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Sacred Letters from Huntington University. This is a moment that beautifully brings together my personal journey and a family legacy rooted in Huntington University’s proud 65-year history.

My connection to Huntington began long before I could even walk through its halls. Both of my parents, as well as my stepfather served Huntington in some capacity. As a young child, I was enrolled in piano lessons at Huntington, and much later returned to proudly earn my Honours
degree in Communication Studies. In 2008, I joined the Huntington University Board of Regents, and not long after, assumed the role of Chair.

Huntington University has always been close to my heart. To receive this honorary doctorate is deeply humbling, and I share it with everyone who believes in the power of education, service, and community.”
